There are actually a number of definitions for the word luxury but this one will do fine. \"A material object, service, etc., conducive to sumptuous living, usually a delicacy, elegance, or refinement of living rather than a necessity\". In other words, something that you dont really need. Well, that certainly covers a lot of territory. Of course, if youre going to indulge your spouse on this special occasion, you want to go for a luxury that goes the extra mile. Obviously, you need to keep this purchase somewhat within your means. Hopefully, after 49 years of marriage, youve saved up enough money to be able to afford to splurge a little. So, just what could you possibly get this year?
Cars are easy; the luxury vehicles are well known. You have Lexus, which is probably at the top of the ladder today, as well as Lincoln, BMW, Porsche and a number of other wonderful vehicles. The good thing about getting a luxury car is that nobody expects you to buy it outright. Pretty much everybody finances their auto purchases these days so dont feel bad that youre going to have to pay this out over five or six years. In the long run, youll be enjoying a luxury gift without the luxury price tag since it doesnt hit you all at once. If you want to go in a different direction, how about getting your wife that fur coat that shes always wanted. Not that mid length number either. A full-length fur coat or mink. This is probably one of the most romantic gifts that you can get a woman and if your wife has been waiting for that fur for 49 years then this is the time to get it. You dont know how many more chances youre going to get.
