Of course, when you have as many contacts as I do, it gets rather expensive to keep up with all the birthdays and anniversaries, which is why Ive started sending animated greeting cards instead of traditional ones. There are hundreds of websites out there that offer free animated greeting cards that can be personalized and sent via e-mail to anyone I want. They run the gamut from sentimental to funny, from sweet to obnoxious, and everything in between, so I have quite a lot of flexibility when making my choices. Plus, the greetings are frequently updated, giving me new options every few months or so.
Candy - If the person on your list loves sweets, then consider taking a lovely coffee mug and filling it with his or her favorites. You can fill the large coffee mug with candy, wrap tissue paper or cellophane wrap around it, secure it with a bow, and be finished. This is an adorable idea for teachers or church members. It is inexpensive and you can even choose mugs that depict the recipients favorite hobby or color. Besides, everyone loves a little candy during the holidays. For an extra special treat, consider making your own homemade candy for the gift.
